How can we convert two vehicles into one at sowing & harvest?
Utilising 2 utes/ rigid trucks for example, the purpose of one vehicle being for tools & another vehicle for a fire fighter.
A constructive view to reduce down to one vehicle could be to buy an ex government fire truck.
A fire truck is a good example as it already has the features added to it & can be a cost reducing excersize in various ways!
For example the unit already has a water tank, well layed out toolboxes on both sides for tools, water & hose reals etc, plenty of room on the back to add a good size compressor & with a bit of welding & creative thinking it can be an easy task to add an under storage compartment for bulkier items like 20 litre oil drums.
You might think it isn’t a great idea having your fire unit set up with tools due to the risk associating to the equipment in an Emergency.
I understand.
What about if we remove the water tank & attach a diesel tank onboard?
Makes sense for when it comes time to fuel the header, blow the machine down clean your filters, windows & adjust belt tensions.
Everything is on the one unit, removing the inefficient movement of various vehicles for your morning/ nightly preparation!
Have you got something similar?
Any suggestions to help everyone improve on their daily operations?
We would love to receive your input!
